SUGA Likely To Enlist In Public Service, Being The Only Member Excluded From Active Duty

Today besides Jin's enlistment news, another news related to SUGA's enlistment also caught the attention of ARMYs and netizens. 

Supposedly the 2nd member after Jin who may be serving in the military next year, SUGA is reported to have a difference in military service.

One of the exclusive reports predicted that SUGA would perform his military service as a public service worker. This makes fans quite curious about the reason for this news.

Today, the oldest member of BTS enlisted at the Yeoncheon Training Center. According to the previous announcement of Big Hit Music, the remaining BTS members will also enlist in the army in turn.

The person who's expected to enlist next in the group is the second oldest person after Jin- SUGA.

 In an exclusive interview with Asia Economic Newspaper, SUGA was reported to be the only BTS member who didn't perform his active military service.

According to a military official, he'll be assigned to his military service as a community worker. SUGA may become an office worker working in a city hall or government office like some other Kpop idols like Heechul or TOP.

The reason for this statement is that SUGA was in a car accident in 2012 and was diagnosed with a dislocated arm bone the following year. 

After that, the shoulder continued to hurt and on examination in 2019, it was diagnosed that the cartilage around the left shoulder joint had broken( rupture of the left posterior joint and gash of the lip).

In November 2020, SUGA underwent surgery to deal with his injured shoulder and took a break from activities for a while to recuperate. 

However, given SUGA's previous health condition, it's believed that there's a high probability that he'll work in government offices as a social service worker because he doesn't meet his health conditions to enlist as an active soldier.

Along with that, according to a report from Ilgan Sports, SUGA will have to enlist before December 31, 2023. At the time of SUGA enlistment, he'll undergo health checks as well as related procedures to the official military enlistment method.

Meanwhile, in response to the above news, Big Hit Music stated to Ilgan Sports that it's difficult to confirm the announcement of SUGA's enlistment status" Both the company and the members hope that BTS can promote as a full group by 2025."
