Jin addresses the previously reported enlistment details with an important request for fans.
Many hours ago, multiple Korean media sources reported that BTS‘s Jin will be enlisting in the service on December 13, feeding details about his charge camp and where he’ll be posted during his service. Neither Jin nor his operation immediately verified the reports at the time; Jin recently took to Weverse to address fans himself.

BTS’s Jin struck pride in fans when BigHit MUSIC verified that he withdrew his request to delay his military service and would be enlisting by the end of the year.
The surprise announcement followed the group’s largely successful Yet To Come in Busan concert on October 15, performed in front of 50,000 people at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium and an additional 50 million people who live-streamed the concert from home.

Along with the announcement about Jin canceling his request for the detention of his service, it was also announced that the rest of the BTS members would also “ carry out their military service based on their own individual schedules. ”
By making the announcement, the group forcefully reclaimed the narrative driven by ongoing media, government, and netizen debate surrounding the possibility of South Korea’s government exempting BTS from their compulsory military service, which the group noway requested. When speaking on the delicate subject, the group constantly expressed their intent to complete their service.
Media reported before today that Jin will go through boot camp in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi province for five weeks and will be deployed to the frontline units for the remainder of his military service.
When asked for a statement, HYBE Labels originally stated that the details were hard to confirm.
